Veterans Day

Veterans day has a lot of meaning for me, and it took me all day to actually sit down and try put into words what that is. As you know, my husband is in the Navy, and currently deployed overseas...so today wasn't an easy day, nor are the looming holidays ahead. I have a large military "family", and all of them are close in my thoughts today as well. I got this quote in an email today, and it made me stop cold...this sums it up for me.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,
Jesus Christ and the American Soldier
One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.

Thank a Veteran today, be it a vet of past or present wars, be sure to thank them for the freedoms we take for granted every day in this awesome country of ours.
